Study Abroad
Employees view international experience through work or study abroad as a valuable asset. The Pamplin College offers various study-abroad programs that provide students opportunities to visit businesses, government agencies, and universities; attend lectures and discussions; observe local culture; and sightsee during the weekends.
One type of program, typically offered in the summer, is designed and led by a faculty member, and combines an in-residence period at a foreign university with a period of travel. Another kind of program, also led by faculty members in the summer, comprises visits to universities and businesses in several locations, as well as readings and lectures. The summer programs typically last four to eight weeks.
In addition, formal exchange programs allow MBA students to spend one semester abroad studying at the partner university during their second year of the program.
